ORGE Innovation Consulting was created in 2013 in New York as a design-led innovation platform to respond to the growing demand of organizations to innovate systematically. ORGE is grounded on multiple successful past projects and experiences that inspired a new model for framing and modeling innovation projects and initiatives. ORGE is also a consulting service that makes available to companies, start-ups, not-for-profit organizations the latest and most advanced experiments, discoveries, knowledge and methods in design strategies being developed globally in the main research and university centers. ORGE’s philosophy is to empower organizations with the most advanced design strategies to enterprise design-led open innovation platforms to reliably and systematically (cheaper, faster and better) transform fragments of organizational knowledge and market intelligence into innovative opportunities, ideas, products and services.

Carlos Teixeira, Founder

professor • mentor • knowledge broker • consultant

Carlos Teixeira is an Associate Professor in Strategic Design at the School of Design Strategies at Parsons The New School for Design. He has 20 years of experience in design and innovation projects in Brazil, India, China and the US. Carlos applies innovative methodologies and design tools in the areas of new business development, open innovation, value chains for innovation and co-creation, and brand strategy. In Brazil he developed projects for the National Cancer Institute and MetrôRio. In the United States he served as a consultant for McDonald's, Dow Chemical and developed a project in partnership with the United Nations (UNDB - United Nations Development Business). In India he led a co-creation workshop for TVS Motors, and is currently the co-director of the open innovation platform DREAM:IN, awarded by Metropolis magazine ‘Game Changer 2013”. In China he is currently collaborating on a strategic design project for the Chongqing Industrial Museum. Carlos is often invited by universities, companies and associations in Brazil, the United States, Europe and Asia as a lecturer and manager of co-creation workshops. His research and teaching at Parsons focus on strategic design with several published articles on the subject. He is also the founder and coordinator of Design Knowledge Networks, an international network of strategic design experts. He has a PhD in Design from the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology. Previous to his PhD, he received a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Design from Pontificia Universidade Catolica in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Eileen Ellis, Co-Founder and Partner

Eileen Ellis is co-founder and partner at ORGE Innovation, currently engaged in the design and production of innovation workshops, long- and short-term local and international business strategy development, operations, and financial planning for the company. She is also leading the company's expansion into African and Middle Eastern markets, as well as the startup ecosystem in NYC and internationally. Previous experience includes design research at the design research specialization firm MauroNewMedia Inc., large-scale commercial video production and marketing at advertising agency ALLDAYEVERYDAY, microfinance for the NGO the Arusha Project in Tanzania, and office management, sales, and teaching. She is also an avid traveler, and has lived, worked, and studied in Japan, Tanzania, and Argentina. Through these previous experiences, the BBA in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons the New School for Design, and BA in Quantitative Economics from UC Irvine, she has formed a unique qualitative and quantitative multidisciplinary approach to problems and their solutions. This led to an interest in design research, knowledge brokering, open innovation consortiums, information networks, and a formalized methodology for ideation. On a personal note, she also likes to travel, hike, kayak, camp, and eat delicious food, and always enjoys hearing about others' experiences in those areas.
